If you can drag yourself away from the river long enough there are plenty of things to do and places to go in the beautiful Nambucca Valley.

We have gorgeous beaches which are great for children, long walks or surfing, safe parks and playgrounds, our unique Island Club Golf Course, Bowling Club, Indoor Pool, Nature Walks, or try your hand at graffiti and leave your mark at the V-Wall Breakwater at the Nambucca River entrance where visitors are encouraged to leave their mark and of course there are the many fishing spots for that great catch.

Nambucca Heads town is bustling with activity and there are plenty of shops to please, from local grocers, arts & crafts  by our local artists and craftsmen, newsagents, post office, chemists to wonderful coffee shops and bakeries, not to mention many wonderful restaurants.  There is also a medical centre in Nambucca or the Hospital situated in Macksville.

At the Nambucca Plaza you will find an IGA supermarket, chemist, bakery, newsagents, take-aways and video rental just to name some and the Cinema Centre which runs the latest movies.

Our local RSL Club is very modern with all amenities and has spectacular views of the river.  Also nearby are the Bowling Club, Golf Club and Sports League Club.

A little further afield are Macksville, historical Bowraville and Taylors Arm which is home to the famous Pub with No Beer. 

To the North is Coffs Harbour with Kempsey and Port Macquarie to the South.  These bigger towns have great shopping, restaurants, local attractions and are definitely worth exploring.
